WHY I’M RUNNING
Wyoming’s students deserve an innovative Superintendent who will honor our past while courageously and thoughtfully embracing the future. Our educators deserve a steady leader with the experience to guide the Wyoming Department of Education through turbulent political times. And Wyoming’s parents deserve a Superintendent who will work with them, not against them.
A CAREER BUILT FOR THIS OFFICE
I hold a law degree from the University of Wyoming, a master’s degree in education administration, and a bachelor’s degree. I have served as a classroom teacher, school principal, district administrator, state education agency leader, policy advisor to Governor Gordon, and elected mayor — a record of leadership from the classroom to the Capitol.
CORE PRIORITIES
Modernizing Standards, Assessment & Accountability: Replace outdated, one-size-fits-all testing with a Wyoming-built system that measures real student growth and gives teachers and parents honest, useful information.
Career & Technical Education / Workforce Readiness: Expand CTE pathways so every Wyoming graduate leaves high school ready for a good job, the trades, the military, or college — without debt.
Rural School Support: Fight for funding, staffing, and flexibility that reflect the real needs of Wyoming’s small and rural districts, not one-size-fits-all mandates built for bigger states.
School Choice Alongside Strong Public Schools: Support options for families while strengthening — not defunding — the public schools that anchor Wyoming communities.
Parental Rights: Ensure parents have real transparency and a real voice in curriculum, materials, and decisions that affect their kids.
Teacher Retention: Address pay, respect, and working conditions so Wyoming stops losing good teachers to burnout and better offers elsewhere.
School Safety & Mental Health: Champion mental health services and make sure every Wyoming school has a real, workable safety plan — and the resources to carry it out.
Literacy & Math Instruction: Get back to fundamentals with proven, evidence-based reading and math instruction starting in the earliest grades.
Prepare Wyoming’s Students for American Leadership: Ensure Wyoming’s students are grounded in history and civics so that they are prepared to lead our republic.
Local Control & State Lands: To secure Wyoming’s future, I will protect local control and remain a dedicated steward of our state lands.
THE CHOICE IS YOURS
In a rapidly changing global landscape, Wyoming needs a state superintendent with the broad experience required to lead the nation’s most robust school system into the future. A stronger America begins with Wyoming leading the way in education. I’m ready and I respectfully ask for your vote in the primary election on August 18.
